Brown spots, redness, rosacea, and sun damage don’t sit on the surface of the skin. They live in the deeper layers where pigment-producing cells and damaged vessels reside. That’s why no amount of brightening serum fully solves them. IPL uses targeted pulses of broad-spectrum light to find and break down pigmentation at its source, leaving clearer, more even skin with no downtime. At Awaken Aesthetics, every IPL treatment is performed on the xeo+® Limelight platform, calibrated specifically for your skin tone and the concerns you’re addressing.
IPL Treatment in Hammonton, NJ
If brightening serums worked, you wouldn’t be here. Pigmentation and vascular concerns live deeper in the skin than any topical product can reach, which is exactly why IPL exists. It delivers calibrated pulses of broad-spectrum light that break down pigment clusters and collapse damaged vessels so your body can clear them naturally.
What you’re left with isn’t a temporary glow that fades when you stop buying something. It’s a real reduction in the source of the concern, building session by session until your skin looks the way it should have all along.

A breakdown of treatment areas and pricing at Awaken
Pricing is based on the area being treated and the nature of the concern. Your provider will recommend the right package at your consultation.
What the treatment actually feels like
A cooling gel is applied to the skin before treatment, and the xeo+ handpiece has a built-in cooling tip that makes the experience significantly more comfortable than older IPL devices. Most patients feel a brief flash of heat with each pulse, similar to a rubber band snap. Discomfort is minimal, and there is no numbing required. Sessions are quick enough that most patients are surprised when it’s over.
Why skin tone matters with IPL
IPL works by targeting pigment, which means it needs contrast between the concern being treated and the surrounding skin to work safely and effectively. For lighter to medium skin tones, it’s an excellent option. For patients with deeper complexions, the risk of inadvertent pigmentation changes is higher, and Laser Genesis or another treatment may be a better fit.
Your provider will assess your skin tone during your consultation and give you an honest answer before scheduling anything.
Generic Settings Produce Generic Results. Ours Don't.
The xeo+ Limelight is one of the most advanced IPL platforms available, and its customizable settings are what set it apart from a generic treatment. Before your session, your provider assesses your skin tone, the type and depth of pigmentation being treated, and anything in your history that could affect how your skin responds. Settings are dialed in accordingly, not pulled from a default.
Treatment takes 15 to 60 minutes, depending on the area. You’ll leave with some pinkness and warmth that typically fades the same day. Brown spots will darken before they flake off over the following one to three weeks—that’s the process working as intended. Full aftercare instructions and product recommendations go home with you. No tanning, spray tans, or sun exposure within four weeks of treatment.

From the Awaken Edit
Rosacea, Brown Spots, Broken Capillaries. All of It Is Treatable.
Many patients come to us for IPL after years of accepting that their skin just looks this way. The rosacea that flares with every temperature change. The brown spots that showed up after a summer and never left. The broken capillaries and chronic flush that no amount of color-correcting concealer fully hides. These aren’t things you have to manage around for the rest of your life. IPL addresses each one at the source, without downtime, without disruption, and with results that actually last.
Come in and let’s look at what a series of treatments can do for you.
